Adventures In Stitchcraft

Come and join me for Adventures In Stitchcraft!

Stitchcraft was an iconic English magazine, first published in October 1932 and ceasing publication in the 1980s.

After being gifted all my mum's Stitchcrafts from the late 50s, 60s and early 70s, I started to collect the earlier ones as well. Then I decided it was no use having a collection just for the sake of having them - they had to be used.

Adventures In Stitchcraft was born!

A journey through all my Stitchcraft magazines in knitting, sewing, embroidery and fun history and popular culture as well.

So visit here every Sunday and see how the adventure is progressing! Click here to see all the Adventures In Stitchcraft posts to date. And click here to see all the projects with notes on my Ravelry page.

Hope to see you soon!

  1. How I wish I could knit! I have tried and knitting and I just don't get along. I do, however, collect Jean Greenhowe's knitting pattern - my Mum made several items from her collection and I cherish them. I'll feature them on my blog next week.

  2. I'd love to see them! The Jean Greenhowe patterns are so cute. I have been a bit slack in my vintage crafting here. Thanks for the reminder that I need to get back to it!
