Just love these placemats - had to share before we start!
I am trying not to be too ambitious with my first to-do list for this year. Like my meal planning, to-do lists have gone out the window with Christmas and holidays.
- New school shoes for boys
- Haircuts for boys
- Go through magazines to donate to op shop
- Finish selling of homeschool books on Facebook
- Organise recipe folder - all those photocopies and pieces of paper floating around!
- Organise knitting patterns - as above!
- Sort out boys' uniforms and make sure they have all they need
- Look at the garden and plan to fix it one day!
- Knitting and dyeing for my new 'shop'
I love that "Happiness is"...I have done that very thing! I've got to make a new list and get busy doing some of the things listed!
ReplyDeleteIt takes a while to get back into routine after Christmas - that is my excuse anyway!
DeleteI am a lover of lists and crossing off my to dos. I am gearing up for a new and improved productive January week, hope yours is as well.
ReplyDeleteYes, need to get back on top of things for sure!
DeleteI rarely do lists, and I think that's one of my problems! Good for you.
ReplyDeleteI do like to have a list but it depends on whether I spend too much time making the list and not enough time doing it!
DeleteI am a great lover of lists, it makes me more productive.
ReplyDeleteYes, it generally helps to make me more focused. Otherwise I can tend to dither and not achieve anything much at all.
DeleteI don't think I could survive the day with my list, although today it's a little too long for my comfort.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy a great day.
Oh yes, I could have made this list twenty times longer! I am trying to choose what I actually have a chance of achieving!
DeleteThis week I bought a folder at ALDI to organise my never ending pile of recipes in the kitchen. For quite some time our printer was out of action and I don't have a tablet or mobile and would always be running to the computer to hastily scribble down a favourite recipe on an obscure scrap of paper, only to have the ink run and get smudged from my greasy hands. So they are all getting reprinted and filed away in plastic sleeves in my folder this year.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly what I am doing! I have some of those plastic tabs to categorise my folder. Hopefully this will mean I will actually use all my photocopied recipes!
DeleteThose placemats are all kinds of old school inspired fabulous.
ReplyDeleteHee-hee, I totally do that with my checklists, too. There's just something so satisfying about crossing off a task.

I do love them! Sometimes you just have to make it feel like you have achieved something - and that works for me!
DeleteHow lovely they are !!
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet, my darling,
sending blessings to you
Dany
Thank you, Dany! Blessings to you also.
DeleteI enjoyed reading your blog about to do list and love how you have added vintage images to it. I always seem to have a never ending list of things to do. I think keeping the lists fun and adding colour helps to keep it positive. Sometimes it's too stressful if my to do list is too long. Its funny how crossing things off can make you feel better.

It does feel great to cross things off the list. Thank you for visiting and commenting.
