On The Weather Front
Reading
Sweet Sanctuary by Kim Vogel Sawyer. Lovely light reading for the summer holidays.
Watching
I was browsing the shelves of our library last week and spotted Series 1, 2 and 3 of Little House on the Prairie. I haven't watched these since I used to watch them on TV as a girl and am really enjoying them as some lovely crafting viewing. My mending pile has been growing very quickly, so I aim to sit down with that and some Laura this evening.
I'm Hoping
That it will cool down soon! Hot weather and I are not friends. Also that the school holidays will never end (not very likely though!)
Studying away at my Aromatherapy. Very interesting as you can take the science as deep as you would like - and it can get very technical, if you like science!
Crafting
Grateful For
School holidays and having the boys home and stress free for six whole weeks! It is so much more relaxing than school time.
Dreaming Of
Finally finding my block of land and building an off-grid home. And of homeschooling the boys again.
Favourite Photo
Little granddaughter was happy sitting with the dog - until the face licking started! So blessed that we live close to our daughter.
Devotionals, Scripture, Key Verses
Wishing you all a lovely week.
You are blessed with a beautiful Grandaughter, the dog licking her face really made me smile. Our dog does much the same to our Grandchildren, so I had a few moments thinking of them. Take care.
ReplyDeleteShe is a very good dog - let's children do anything to her!
DeleteOh your grandaughter is precious. I love the photo of the dog licking her face. How lovely you live close to your daughter. I love that verse. I love the song "As the deer pants for water".....have you heard it?? I hope you get some relief from the hot weather, Jayne. The aromatherapy course sounds interesting. I too, loved watching The Little House on The Prairie TV series when I was little.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't know the song - I will have to look for it. It is much cooler today, thankfully.
DeleteSuch a lovely post and I absolutely love the photo of your beautiful granddaughter and the dog licking her face. How precious is this? Happy New Year. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! She is a little sweetie, isn't she? Happy New Year!
DeleteThank you for visiting and following. I love Little House on the Prairie too and Tasha Tudor. I bought some essential oils when a friend had a workshop one evening and it really is surprising how some of the aromas make you feel. I have a diffuser and use lavender at night (calming, helps me sleep) and peppermint (if I'm at all congested). You are indeed blessed that your daughter and granddaughter live close by. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting here. The oils certainly do make a difference - just love them. Tasha Tudor is my all-time heroine - love her!
DeleteLove Little House on the Prairie and Tasha Tudor :) What adorable pictures of your little granddaughter, she is adorable.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful week.
Thanks for visiting. Yes, she is definitely a little sweetie - getting cuter every day!
DeleteThose photos of your grandbaby with the dog are so stinking cute! I am a LHOTP fan, sounds like heaven to me-enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI am pretty excited to be starting the series from the beginning again. It has been so long, it is like it is all new to me!
