It seems that then, as now, Coca Cola spent a lot of money of coming up with new advertising campaigns.

But for sheer style, I could easily live in those Enna Jetticks shoes - they are divine. And imagine touring around town in that Chevrolet - classy!
For my actual project, I still have not located my second skein of yarn. But I am risking it and have cast on anyway (Ravelry link here). It will surely turn up somewhere as I know it has not left the house! It is just hiding from me, being a rascal.
So here is the progress (or lack thereof) so far. I will admit that I have been taken up with knitting a vintage style coat for grandbaby's first birthday, which I just love and am keen to see finished. But I will be working away at this as well.

Love the ads, I can empathise on the lost wool , ive stalled a quilt because i put the last strip i need down somewhere , its been 6 months..lol

DeleteI love these vintage posts, Jayne. I have been chuckling at a few....the pay off...mmmmm?? Now that has made me smile! Oh dear, the jury's out here re the food.....canned pork and beans?? As for that stove; oh how I would love to have one of those vintage beauties cooking up a storm in my kitchen. Measuring the legs for the stockings is hilarious and that well-built fellow in his trunks....so funny. Thank you for putting many a chuckle in my day, Jayne!

Lost yarn. The bane of all existence. I keep losing the extra skeins to the baby blanket I'm currently behind on.
ReplyDeleteI just don't know how they can 'disappear'. It's not like they are leaving the house! I'm sure it will turn up when it is good and ready. Hope you can find your yarn and get back to your blanket.
