New Week, New To-Do List

It has been two weeks since I made a list and as I mentioned, the list did go out the window somewhat!
The list from two weeks was this one:

Garden and homestead
  • Veggie garden - continue weeding and mulching, plant out areas as completed.

  • Finish narrower new path in veggie garden.

  • Start seeds and plant snow pea seeds. - I have left this until next week as we are having such a cold snap.
  • Weed bed outside kitchen window and sow with wildflower mix. - coming along nicely.

Knitting, sewing, crafting
  • Three hours of hand quilting on Miss Ballerina's quilt.
    • Finish baby jersey from April 1934 Stitchcraft.

    Household
    • Freezer inventory.
    • Clean up clutter corner in our bedroom.
    • Make air drying clay for Whirlwind - I'm really disappointed we didn't get to this, but he was so happy doing his loom bands that I let it go.

He was so happy that he mastered Starburst!

Not a great effort, but still something!

This week's list looks like this:

    • Pot up self-seeded loquat plants.

    • Order dahlia tubers.
    • Start nettle tea making - start a new batch every two weeks.
    • Continue building chicken compost pile.
    • Plant red shallots.

    Knitting, sewing, crafting
    • Three hours of hand quilting on Miss Ballerina's quilt.
      • Finish baby jersey from April 1934 Stitchcraft.

      Household
      • Freezer inventory.
      • Sort two boxes from shed.
      • Take unneeded items to op shop.
      • Planning for Whirlwind's birthday party.
A pretty bouquet for this week for the kitchen window sill. Still not a huge amount to choose from, but enough to make something lovely.

Pink and white mini azaleas, rosemary and pink marguerite daisies.

      1. By the looks of your list Jayne, you have lots to do again this week.

I would be very interested to hear how the nettle tea goes, I have heaps of it growing around here.

Those flowers are beautiful. All I have for display at the moment is geraniums :)

        Have a lovely week,

        xTania

        1. Yes, we have heaps of nettles, much to hubby's embarassment! Nettles actually show that your soil is really good, but we live in a very conservative farming area where the chemicals come out straight away. It is pretty stinky to make but full of nutrients for the plants. I use it so I don't have to buy Seasol or similar.
That is about all the flowers I have. But I am itching for some warmer weather so I can start off some flower and veggie seeds!

      2. You are quite the whirlwind of activity! I hope you realize how much you get done!

        1. Oh, thank you! It is always our nature to focus on what we didn't get done rather than be happy with what we did achieve. It is all coming along slowly. I must remember that slow and steady gets there in the end!
