Love A Reason To Make A Book List

I didn't see this at the beginning of December when it was supposed to be done. But I can never resist a reason to make a list of books.

So thanks to Totally Austentatious for bringing the Book A Day Christmas Challenge to my attention.

1. A Tale of Two Cities - 'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times . . '

2. Abby Finds Her Calling by Naomi King

3. Hundreds of books!

4. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

5. The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter by Susan Wittig Albert

6. The Bible

7. The Children of Cherry Tree Farm by Enid Blyton

8. The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter by Susan Wittig Albert. Mystery is not at all my genre, so these sweet mystery books are as close as I get!

9. Flock by Lyn Hughes. Who knew a book about wallpaper could be so riveting?!

10. Fairy Tale Knits by Alison Stewart-Guinee

11. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

12. Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman

13. Mr Men books by Roger Hargreaves

14. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

15. Anything purple - instantly stands out.

Obviously my favourite purple book cover.
16. The Love Dare by Alex Kendrick and Stephen Kendrick

17. Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons

18. War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy

19. Armageddon by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins

20. Nope! I suppose the closest might be Rachael Treasure's books.

21. Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel

22. Christmas scene in Little Women

Will have to look for this book.
23. The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Antonia Fraser

24. Letters From Father Christmas by J.R.R. Tolkien

25. Cloudstreet by Tim Winton

And hands up who is excited about Harper Lee's new/old book Go Set A Watchman?! Can't wait!!

Happy reading.

  1. That is a great booklist! I have been meaning to make a booklist/plan for my reading for the year but whenever I start to try to do that, I rebel and feel like exactly the opposite kinds of books than I have planned. So we'll see how that goes. :)

  2. Thanks! I don't tend to have a plan for reading. Yarn Along every week always seems to turn up some great books that I haven't heard of, so my list grows very week!
