What Can You Do With A Mason Jar?

I love Mason jars - well, jars of any sort really.

So I was looking for some to purchase online and came across some links to crafts with Mason Jars. I just had to keep looking!

Here are some of the Mason jar related items I found (which can, of course, be used to repurpose any jars you have):

This one looks like the easiest - just a piece of plastic cut to fit with holes punched in. It would take seconds to make.

Washi tape vases. These can be made with any old jar or bottle and look wonderful. I have bought some washi tape to make some of these - ready for all my flowers this spring (fingers crossed!)

Have you repurposed jars in some way? I would love to see some other great ideas.

  2. I use mason jars as vases all the time, more than I use real vases. I also like to have some smaller ones around for making marinades and salad dressings. Just put everything in the jar, screw the lid on tightly and shake!

  3. A teacher, in whose classroom I used to work, has a whole bunch of Nescafe coffee jars filled with all sorts of bits and bobs, along a bench in her room: buttons, coins, little mini pegs, counters, dice, shells… I don't know - heaps of stuff. They just look so pretty like that. I think mason jars would look even better though.

  5. I'm with you, Jayne....I love glass jars of all varieties. There are so many pretties that can be stored in them but my favourite use of a glass jar is to hold a pretty bunch of flowers with perhaps a pretty ribbon or lace tied around it. This is such a lovely post with gorgeous photos, Jayne.
