Rainy Day on Fifth Avenue by Childe Hassam |
Reading Parables From Nature again this morning. The story was about a Sedge Warbler and her family.
'Think, even when the rain comes down, how we enjoy ourselves, for then how sweet it is to huddle into the soft warm nest together, and listen to the drops pattering upon the leaves overhead. Oh, I love this dear, dear home so much!'
This is how I feel about the rain. Sometimes it is just lovely to have a rainy day so we can all huddle inside and be cosy together, particularly if it is cold and we have the fire going. And I love to go to sleep listening to the rain on the tin roof.
So now just some rain-inspired art.
